What is TeaPartyConnect.com?

Over time, it became increasingly clear there needed to be a place for people to either connect with a Tea Party near them, or learn how to start their own.

Additionally, leaders of Tea Party groups needed a place to share news & ideas, muster national support, or just network with other Tea Party groups.

TeaPartyConnect was created to address those needs!

10 Short Term Predictions For America

By TheGuru Email To A Friend Email To A Friend Print This Article Print This Article

Saturday, March 20th - I really shouldn’t be writing this right now. My mood is dark and my heart is bitter. Therefore, take what you read and consider it in light of my voluntary disclaimer.

It seems clear that Health Care Reform Reconciliation will pass the House of Representatives tomorrow. Pelosi is just not stupid enough to bring this to a vote without fully expecting to have enough votes in time to win this fight. I am proud of all the people who made special trips to Washington, D.C. today to stand up and protest, but barring some miracle that convinces the Democrat Members Of The House that voting to prop up the image of the President is less important than securing the financial future of our children, the reconciliation bill will pass.

Obama has done a masterful job of boxing in the Democrats and forcing them to accept responsibility for the success or failure of his Presidency. However, I would argue that the success or failure of any President is how they are viewed in the long future rather than in the short-term. For example, Ronald Reagan was soundly vilified while he was in office and yet in hind-sight he is regarded as perhaps one of the best Presidents ever. Clinton’s biggest legacy may be the fact that his Presidency gave Hillary the chance to be Secretary of State. And don’t get me started on Carter. Nixon was reviled and hated and still is by most people, but even so, grudging respect is given for his effort to reach out to China.

Obama’s legacy will be assured for a lot of reasons, not the least of which is he is in league with FDR and Wilson as being one of the most socialistic Presidents. He has positioned himself to receive all of the rewards of being the President who got Socialized Medicine passed in America and should the House vote down the reconciliation, he is positioned to avoid most of the blame for its failure. However, should this monstor pass, the rewards will be devastating for America.

First will come court challenges. Several states and private citizens have already stated their readiness to appeal the passage of this bill to court. Unfortunately, right now, I don’t have a lot faith in our court system. The Supreme Court is fairly split with one swing voter who has surprised me on a couple of occasions and disappointed me on many others. The lower courts are full of political cronies who have been appointed for life and have no overriding reason to listen to the voices of the people. The legal wrangling will be long, costly and bloody but unless there is a decisive reigning in of powers of both the Legislative and Executive Branches of Government, we are just looking at the beginning of a long and ugly political season leading up to November.

Second will come lots of Liberal Legislation. If this procedural vote by the House passes, you can look for lots more of this in the future. Cap and Trade along with other terrible ideas will be proposed and passed without a lot of fanfare all designed to make this the most oppresive Government we have ever seen. The Health Care Reform Reconciliation will get the foot of the Socialists in the door so to speak and they will pry it wide open by proposing and passing bill after bill that will tranform this land from the land of the free and the brave to the land of the beaten and enslaved.

Third will come taxes. It goes without saying that the Government cannot pass a $1+ Trillion dollar bill without the funds to pay for it. Our borrowing capacity is spend, therefore the only way to recoup the cost is to gather it in the form of higher taxes. Corporations will foot part of the bill and invididuals will have to come up with the rest. Since the majority of tax revenue comes from the middle class (those making less than $250,000 per year), it is simply a fact that the middle class will ultimately be tapped to pay for the binge.

Fourth will come a recession. As more money is pulled out of the economy in the form of taxes, the wealthy will refuse to fund new ventures and will frankly look for any way they can can to shelter their wealth from the more than 60% marginal rates (including federal, state and local taxes). Look for stock market drops as the capital gains taxes rise and for more businesses to close rather than remain open because the wealthy will simply not invest with tax rates as high as they will end up being. I don’t blame them. If I could shelter my income, I would do so immediately. I never worked for a poor man in my life (until I went into business for myself) and neither has anyone else. Watch for an alarming number of small business failures as well. Many small businesses operate on the thin line of survival and the new taxes will be enough to push many of those over the edge. Unemployment will increase significantly and this recession will look more and more like a depression.

Fifth will come a surge in Government Employment. As more and more business fail or are closed, look for constantly increasing numbers of people who choose to work for the Government. The Health Care Bill provides for thousands of new employees for the IRS just to enforce the law and this is just the tip of the iceberg. There will have to be more and more people hired by the Government to make all of the health care decisions for all of us poor saps who will soon be dependent on the Government’s largese to provide us access to what little health care will be available.

Sixth will come a surge in the retirement of doctors. The AMA may support Health Care Reform, but the AMA doesn’t speak for the majority of doctors and the word is already on the streets that perhaps as many as 20% of the working doctors will retire as the Government takes over Health Care. I submit to you that much of the health care we receive from this bill will end up coming from Nurse Practitioners simply because they will be the only ones left providing services.

Seventh will come arrogance. Liberal success in passing this bill will generate the most gloating you have ever seen from the President, Pelosi and Reid. The next few months will seem unbearable as the arrogance of the ruling elite will seem overwhelming.

Eighth will come the death of the Traditional News Media. It has been teetering on the brink for some time and this state of affairs will bring many of the big players to their knees UNLESS as payback for their assistance, the Government chooses to bail them out. If the Government bails out the media, look for readers and viewers to flock to non-traditional sources of information.

Ninth will come growth in Tea Party participation. It is my belief that we all took our eyes off the ball when Scott Brown was elected. The assumption was that since we had broken the complete stranglehold on the Senate, Health Care Reform was dead. It was not. As the provisions of this bill come to light, more and more voters will become angry and the logical place for them to go is the Tea Party Movement. The challenge Tea Party members will have is in accepting these late-comers to the fold with open arms. It would be very easy for Tea Party members to point their finger at these people who were duped and blinded by Candidate Obama, their own racial guilt and moderate belief systems and voted for Obama not recognizing his Socialistic tendencies. It will be hard for those of us who worked hard during the campaign and for the past year to get the word out, not to feel a little bitter about the late-comers wanting to join in. I say we suck it up, say it’s better late than never and start educating these people on the Constitution and their resposibilities as voters, taxpayers and American Citizens. Because…

Tenth will come November. So far, the Liberal establishment has not been able to overcome one very important tool that all citizens have: The Vote. Every two, four or six years we have the opportunity to make our voices heard in a way that cannot be ignored. Let’s face it, America was duped by Obama during the campaign and during his first year as President, but as the wool is pulled from more and more voters eyes, November stands as our opportunity to change the change. November should become the rallying cry of every Tea Party all over this country. Every Special Election between now and then should become our Alamo. We should be ready to fight with the most precious weapon we have, our Vote. We need to be working now to find candidates that we can support with our time and our money. We need to be educating our friends and family about the issues and the Constitution. We need to be rallying all Tea Party members everywhere to rise up to the challenge and reminding them that defeat on the Health Care battle doesn’t mean that we’ve lost the War for Freedom. We need to be calling out members of Congress who voted Yes at every step of the process. We need to be working to defeat those who took thirty pieces of silver from the Government to betray our children’s future. We need to be about the business of tranforming Government back into the small, isolated entity that it was designed to be by the Founding Fathers. And, we need to be living up to the expectations of Jefferson, Hamilton, Washington, Franklin, and all those who’ve gone before us to guarantee us Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.

Ultimately, if there is no joy in Mudville tomorrow after the vote, it is not the end of the world. The Mighty Casey may have struck out and while that may be where the popular poem ended, the whole story did not. Casey didn’t give up any more than Babe Ruth did whenever he struck out. We cannot let this vote take the wind out of us. On Monday, we have to pick ourselves back up, and go back to work fighting for Freedom. Freedom will be under assault for a few months and then we will have our oppportunity.

Freedom worth having is Freedom worth fighting for.

I wouldn’t miss this fight for anything. Will you?

I PREDICT: There Will Be NO Elections In November … There will be a debilitating 'false-flag' attack on American soil, (before November) Paralyzing the American people into submitting to whatever the government then decrees. Americans can't forget this feeling – it has to sustain us through the following fight. The Tea Party Movement and 912 Movements are only going to gain followers. Your analysis is spot on. We have to be prepared for set-backs with our sites on the end prize – each and ever one of these Democrats being voted out of office. Can you picture BHO sitting in the White House without ownership of the House and Congress? My one concern is the strength of the Conservatives we currently have in office.

But I did love seeing John Boehner's passion last night on the floor! We need more of that, a lot more of that!
