Everyone is talking about Gov. Christie putting a reporter in his place, but that evaluation of this clip misses the bigger point.
Listen to exactly what Christie says AFTER putting the reporter in this place. He states the beliefs of every Tea Party member in a clear, concise and passionate way.
I know, I know…he’s a Republican and therefore unlikely to admit he’s a member of a Tea Party group. But that shouldn’t stop New Jersey Tea Party Groups from sending him membership applications. More of this kind of politician is exactly what we need in Washington.
Frankly, I’ve thought for a long time that elected officials spend entirely too much time being buddy-buddy and trying to appear nice to each other because of the traditions of the office. Horse-pucky!!! Get in there and mix it up a little bit. Look a man who is lying in the face and tell him he is lying and let the chips fall where they may. Senators and Representative try to be so sicky sweet in front of the camera that it just turns my stomach.
I know I’m not alone in this. While I had several complaints about the Bush Administration, one of the biggest was that George Bush was too nice of a guy. I kept waiting for him to quit taking all of the crap the spoiled rotten media was throwing at him and stand up for himself. I got tired of defending him and frankly it wasn’t my responsibility.
Chris Christie’s not that kind of politician and there’s no one who can defend him better than himself.
Hoorah! Finally a politician with a spine.
You may not agree with everything he says, but by God, you have got to respect him.
Keep it up, Christie!
Oh and by the way, to all you candidates who are running for office this year for the first time: Watch this video 50 times per day between now and the election in November.

Isn't the Tea Party about reducing taxes and not being taxed anymore? Didn't Christie institute an "Exit Tax" of 2.5% of the selling price of a home on anyone selling to move out of state? What right does NJ have to 2.5% of someone's sales price when someone decides to move to a state with a reasonable property tax level? Get real.
