What is TeaPartyConnect.com?

Over time, it became increasingly clear there needed to be a place for people to either connect with a Tea Party near them, or learn how to start their own.

Additionally, leaders of Tea Party groups needed a place to share news & ideas, muster national support, or just network with other Tea Party groups.

TeaPartyConnect was created to address those needs!

Kansas City Star: “NAACP considers resolution decrying racist elements in tea-party movement”

The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People will propose a resolution this week condemning racism within the tea party movement.

The resolution, scheduled for a vote as early as Tuesday by delegates attending the annual NAACP convention in Kansas City, calls upon “all people of good will to repudiate the racism of the Tea Parties, and to stand in opposition to its drive to push our country back to the pre-civil rights era.”

NAACP leaders said the resolution was necessary to make people aware of what they believe is a racist element within the tea party movement.

“I think a lot of people are not taking the tea party movement seriously, and we need to take it seriously,” said Anita Russell, head of the Kansas City chapter of the NAACP. “We need to realize it’s really not about limited government.”

Russell said she was “pretty certain” the resolution would pass.

I have one question for the NAACP: Have any members of the NAACP currently in Kansas City ever attended a Tea Party or 9-12 Group Meeting?

To my knowledge, all the meetings of Tea Party Groups are open to the PUBLIC (ie: meaning EVERYONE) no matter what color they are, how much money they have or for which political party they normally vote.

Note to the NAACP: You would do well to check your facts before you open your mouth and stick your foot in it.

Consider the fact that many Tea Party members greatly appreciate the work of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas and Former  Secretary Of State Condoleezza Rice, religiously read Thomas Sowell, Dr. Walter E. Williams, Mychal Massie, Ellis Washington, Star Parker, Larry Elder, Erik Rush, and watch with glee every video put out by AlfonZo Rachel; how is it that the NAACP can claim that Tea Party  members are racists?

I don’t think racists would spend their time that way.

Consider the fact that many Tea Party groups have supported multiple black candidates such as Allen West, Bill MarcyLes Phillip and many others with money, time and effort; how can the NAACP accuse tea party groups of being racist?

I don’t think racists would spend their energy and money that way.

How can the NAACP really make this claim unless because those candidates, writers, and commentators happen to be conservative, the NAACP doesn’t count them as “real black” people?

Are there some racists in the Tea Party Groups? Probably, racists are everywhere. Do I regret that fact? Absolutely. Do we tolerate racist comments, jokes, posters, or actions? Absolutely not. And, there are no Tea Party Groups who do.

Perhaps before the NAACP votes on this resolution, they should ask themselves if there are racists in the NAACP. After all, voting for a person just because he is black is as racist as voting against a person just because he is black.

The sad part is that the NAACP would rather lie and try to score political damage slinging the tired, old label of racism at Tea Party Groups rather than tell the truth and help their members break the bonds of liberal slavery.

Good luck with that.

Although you are saying that you have proposed a resolution condemning racism within the tea party movement, it is my opinion that what you really want to say is that you have proposed a resolution condemining conservative white/black people! You say that the resolution calls upon “ALL PEOPLE OF GOOD WILL TO REPUDIATE THE RACISM OF THE TEA PARTIES, AND TO STAND IN OPPOSITION TO ITS DRIVE TO PUSH OUR COUNTRY BACK TO THE PRE-CIVIL RIGHTS ERA.”

“You are calling upon all people of good will.”—–WHAT DOES THAT MEAN EXACTLY? Is the NAACP trying to say that WHITE/BLACK CONSERVATIVE PEOPLE are not good or don’t have “good will”? Don’t beat around the bush about it, just come on out and say what you mean. We all know what you mean anyway.

“You are calling upon all people of good will to repudiate the racism of the Tea Parties.”—–CAN YOU EXPLAIN THAT? WHERE DID YOU GET THAT THERE IS RACISM IN THE TEA PARTIES? IF YOU DON’T KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT IT WOULD BE BETTER IF YOU WOULD KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT. As far as I know there is no racism in the Tea Parties. I know that there is not in the ones that I am associated with. Have you attended a meeting of a Tea Party before you take it upon yourself to start spreading false rhetoric everywhere? I bet not.

“You are calling upon all people of good will to repudiate the racism of the Tea Parties, and to stand in opposition to its drive to push our country back to the pre-civil rights era.”——”STAND IN OPPOSITION TO ITS DRIVE TO PUSH OUR COUNTRY BACK TO THE PRE-CIVIL RIGHTS ERA?” You’ve got to be kidding me. See that’s what makes me furious about you people because you have always got to play the race card and you can’t be true, even to yourselves. There is no way, and no hope, that you will ever get past the civil-rights era because you refuse to allow yourself to.

At some point in this Country we must let our “hearts soften” and get past spewing hate and racism everywhere, as you people are doing. What makes it so sad, in my opinion, is that you were taught hate and racism by your parents and they were taught it by their parents. Now, you are more than likely teaching your kids the same thing. So as long as this goes on, there is no hope for you. You have got to want to break away from it and make a better life for yourself, minus the hate and racism rhetoric that you feel, or it will never happen.

Let me say, it is my belief the Tea Parties have nothing to do with this. It’s just another chance for the NAACP to spread more race hate and you will never miss a chance to do that.

What I have often wondered is why the white/black conservative people don’t have a National Association for the Advancement of White/Black Conservative People. Maybe we should look into that, but I bet if we did you would be screaming “racism for sure” then wouldn’t you? I really think that is something we need to do though so that maybe 75 to 100 years from now we can hollar racism during “NAACP Era.”

I would like to ask all Tea Party members across the United States to pray for the NAACP members. Please ask God to soften their hearts and to help them get past the hate that they feel in their hearts that has been there since the Civil War Era and the Civil Rights Era because we today can’t do anything about that, only GOD can.

MAY GOD BLESS AMERICA AND GOD BLESS THE NAACP!

  2. DC23 says:

How many white people are allowed at a NAACP meeting? I'm talking ALLOWED. None. We are not allowed to come to your meetings, but we open all of our meetings to you with open arms. Come join us and see what we do to strengthen our country before you make accusations that tear our country apart.

  3. I was also wrong about the tea party movement until I joined a great site that made me understand it better. I met alot of friends on the site and must say I was impressed with the way they think. I thought they were all crazy people then I found out why they are the tea party movement. It was because they worry about the United States and the constitution.
