A Tennessee middle school football coach said he got fired after he wrote a song that criticized President Obama.
Bryan Glover, an assistant coach at Grassland Middle School near Nashville, co-wrote the country music song, “When You’re Holding a Hammer, Everything Looks Like a Nail.”
It was co-written by a parent who has a child on the team. Glover, 26, said he emailed a copy of the song to friends, family members and player’s parents through his personal email account.
And that’s when all the trouble started for the self-described independent conservative.
“The coach called me and said parents were upset – that I was being politically incorrect and the song had racial overtones,” Glover told FOX News Radio. “An hour and a half later I was told I was being terminated.”

Great song! Political correctness is nothing but Liberal Facism. Too bad this school district lacks leaders with a backbone to deal with the politically correct whiners who are always offended whenever someone with an opposing view expresses it. It's easier to appease them, rather than recognize and defend the rights of the employee. I don't see how anything in this song could be construed as offensive…you may disagree with it…but it is only someone exercising their right to free speech. Shame on the school system.
PC has gone nuts. What a shame, I am 65 years old, and I am done being politically correct. Makes me scream, insanity run amock, when everything is considered racist. Is this the new norm now? Expressions and free speech examined by liberals. Shame on school system!

I believe in freedom of speech. I think Bryan Glover hit the NAIL on the head. I am sick of it. The politicians we have are lazy or just don't care. This song is not racial. It's a little Un-PC, but, so am I!! I have had it. I am sick to death of being politically correct, it makes me want to throw up a little.
It's okay for rappers to curse & degrade women? It's okay for Operas to kill? It's okay for Rock & Roll to promote drugs & sex? Yet, Mr. Glover cannnot question the government? WHY????
This song represents Americans feelings about government in general. I hope he wins a Grammy!!

This is soooo wrong! Can we "HAMMER" the school and the "Powers That Be" with phone calls and emails?? What does his song have to do with his perfomance as a coach? He didn't do it on school's time.
