What is TeaPartyConnect.com?

Over time, it became increasingly clear there needed to be a place for people to either connect with a Tea Party near them, or learn how to start their own.

Additionally, leaders of Tea Party groups needed a place to share news & ideas, muster national support, or just network with other Tea Party groups.

TeaPartyConnect was created to address those needs!

Why TeaPartyConnect.com?

Soros: I Can’t Stop a Republican ‘Avalanche’

I’m sorry, but I just can’t quit laughing.

Anyone who has visited this website before probably knows my feelings about George Soros. While I’ve stopped short of calling him Satan or Evil Incarnate, I’ve thought it once or twice before.  At a minimum, I’ve believed for a long time that George Soros places his own interests far above the interests of anyone else or any Country, especially, the United States.

So, imagine my delight to run across the following headline: “Soros: I Can’t Stop A Republican ‘Avalanche’“.

In fact, I found it quite funny on several different levels.

First, I find it funny that George Soros’ statement of his inability to stop such an avalanche comes only after he has spent billions with the assumption that he could stop such an avalanche. This statement of resignation is either his realization that in spite of all his wealth, he really can’t stop or change the Will Of The People, or his signal to everyone that an educated population cannot be hoodwinked anymore.

Second, I find funny the following quote:

“But I’m basically not a party man. I’d just been forced into that situation by what I considered the excesses of the Bush administration.”

Does that mean that since he doesn’t have George Bush to kick around any more, it just isn’t fun any more? Does that mean he is switching sides? (Just for a second, imagine if you can, Ole’ Georgie Boy trying to get into a Tea Party Meeting. Ain’t that a hoot?!) But when this comment is considered in light of the stories this past week of the number of insiders like Rahm leaving the White House, do you think it is possible that Soros has done the math on Barack-O-Baby and determined that continued spending in such a down economy is simply throwing good money after bad? Is it possible that Soros read the recent polls that show Bush as popular as Barack?

Third, the writer of the article, Sewell Chan, actually made me laugh when he explained:

Mr. Soros, a champion of liberal causes, has been directing his money to groups that work on health care and the environment, rather than electoral politics.

Yeah, right.

Note To Sewell: Do a little more research on this guy before your next article.

Fourth, I had to laugh because anyone paying attention can see that this story is actually a personal ad to Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid. You know those personal ads they used to talk about in thrillers? Where the CIA or FBI would take out a coded ad in some personals section of a newspaper to communicate with the bad guys? This is one of those ads dressed up to look like a news story. Soros, like many extremely wealthy people, suffers from megalomania and Barack is a narcissist. Up to this point, Soros’ quest for power has been achieved by feeding Barack’s narcissism either with power or money or both. Is this the secret signal to the powers that be that Soros is prepared to move on to greener pastures?

Here’s the money quote [emphasis mine]:

Asked if the prospect of Republican control of one or both houses of Congress concerned him, he said: “It does, because I think they are pushing the wrong policies, but I’m not in a position to stop it. I don’t believe in standing in the way of an avalanche.”

Translation: “You’re on your own. I’ve spend too much time and energy on you losers and now I’ve got to go buy me some Republicans.”

The fact that the story came from the New York Times probably means I’m right which means that we need to keep an eye on the new guys and gals who get sent to Washington this November. George Soros may not be able to buy his way into a Tea Party, but it’s never stopped him from buying his way into the Capitol or the White House.

That thought stopped my laughter cold.
