What is TeaPartyConnect.com?

Over time, it became increasingly clear there needed to be a place for people to either connect with a Tea Party near them, or learn how to start their own.

Additionally, leaders of Tea Party groups needed a place to share news & ideas, muster national support, or just network with other Tea Party groups.

TeaPartyConnect was created to address those needs!

Why TeaPartyConnect.com?

In the course of my daily review of favorite news sources, I ran across a video that caught my attention. It was a video of a guy asking students if they would sign a “petition” that was aimed at banning conservatives from talk radio and tv. The petitioner explicitly mentioned Beck and Limbaugh in his presentation to each person and the camera recorded their reactions. During the course of each encounter, the person signing the petition was asked if they supported free speech. You can watch the results below for yourself.

Editor’s Note: The video contains some foul language and may be offensive to some viewers.

After watching this video, I decided to investigate the source of the video and that led me to a website called ExposingLeftists.com which had very interesting and potentially blood pressure raising videos. Like the one below Read More→

Hope and Change Sticky Notes Coming To A Pump Near You Soon!

I’ve heard the low rumblings of a movement afoot within the Tea Party to start raising awareness of the failures and frankly the terrible successes of our President and his Administration. It is gaining some traction and it seems like an awesome idea.

It’s called The Sticky Note Campaign and though it started as an idea to present Conservative messages across the country at individual gas pumps is now expanding into grocery and retail stores such as these in Georgia. There are even photos of them posted in bathrooms and elevators!

The idea is absolute genius, low cost, non-destructive and really simple to do.

Here’s how:

  • Get a large stack of yellow sticky notes
  • Get a magic marker
  • Get a roll of transparent tape (use only if necessary)
  • Write short messages on the notes
  • Post the notes on gas pumps whenever you buy gas
  • Post the notes where ever, when ever you find higher prices

Here’s some of the best Sticky Note messages we’ve seen so far:

  1. How’s that Hopey Changey Thing Working For You? NOBAMA 2012
  2. Full Of Hope & Change With An Empty Tank! NOBAMA 2012
  3. Hope & Change At Work Here! High Prices – Thanks Obama.
  4. You’re Fired – NOBAMA 2012
  5. We cannot afford another four years of Obama
  6. OBAMA-NOMICS: The “change” I have left after paying other people’s bills.
  7. Higher Energy Prices – Thanks Obama – NOBAMA 2012
  8. Like These Prices? NOBAMA 2012
  9. Does Hope & Change Leave You Feeling Empty? NOBAMA 2012
  10. NOBAMA – Let’s not find out how much worse it could be.

A Facebook page has been setup to share photos and info for this grassroots activist campaign.  Be sure to take photos of your notes and post them to your own Facebook page for your friends and relatives to see as well. That way, the notes can do double duty!

Here’s a couple of things to remember:

Do not write vulgar, racist or inappropriate messages on the notes. Do not put the notes where they will impede the use of any equipment or prevent a person from reading any necessary safety information or digital readouts. We are not union activists, so don’t confront anyone or seek to be disruptive in any way.

The Sticky Note Campaign is about having some fun and getting a message out to all those who are paying more for everything.

If you have some good ideas for messages or some pictures to send us, let us know.

The movie “Atlas Shrugged” was released on April 15th, 2011. Here’s the trailer for the movie:

In conversations with lots of people, I’ve found a percentage of people who are aware of the book “Atlas Shrugged” by Ayn Rand, but a much larger percentage of people know nothing about this book, its implications nor its impact some 50 years after it was written. In January, 2010, John Stossel focused on this book and explained a great deal about why the book continues to be a best-seller so long after its original publication.

Probably one of the best comparisons I’ve ever seen:

  • 1 million seconds equals 12 days;
  • 1 billion seconds equals 32 years;
  • 1 trillion seconds equals 32,000 years.

Union and Democrats leaders are bullies. Always have been always will be. When in power they are not afraid to ram legislation down the throats of those who do not want said legislation, just think Obamacare. However, when the tables are turned and they do not have the political strength to stop what they do not like, they resort to tactics that are reminiscent of a three year old child, throwing public tantrums until they get their way.

The folks at the Heritage Foundation put together this great video, We Still Hold These Truths. It very well done and inspirational. No doubt folks in the Tea Party will watch and say this is why I believe what I do. The narrator Matt Spalding has been on WMOX for our on-going series, The Heritage Hour, a couple of times and is really good. He also has book by the same name.

Editor’s Note: The following piece was written by Rod Smith a Patriot Guard Rider. It arrived in my inbox this morning as an email and it deserves a bigger audience. It was written about the funeral of Sgt. Eric Newman held on Saturday, October 24, 2010.  The funeral was held with full military honors, including a 21-gun salute. He was posthumously awarded not only the bronze star, but also the Purple Heart and several other medals for his exemplary service in the U.S. Army. Eric Newman, 30, was killed when a roadside bomb exploded Oct. 14 in Akatzai Kalay, Afghanistan. He married Charidy Newman last year, and was planning to become a state trooper after his career in the military was over. The introductory information I’ve included here came from the story about the funeral published by The Meridian Star.

I saw America today.

I was among more that 200 people gathered on the tarmac at the Meridian Air Navel Station to welcome Sgt. Eric C. Newman, 30, of Waynesboro , Miss. home from Afghanistan.

He did not exit to cheers and hugs but was greeted by respectful silence. Military men and women, bikers, policemen, firemen, all in formation riveted their attention as Sgt. Newman disembarked from the plane carrying him.

He exited in a flag draped coffin, killed in action in Afghanistan.

James P. Gannon recently wrote a piece for The American Spectator that simply is a must read.

One of the most striking things about this year’s political discourse (as if name-calling and wild accusations can be dignified with such a term) is that what used to be considered traditional and commonplace thinking is now labeled as extremism and bigotry. A few examples:

If you believe that the U.S. Constitution means only what it actually says, you are an extremist who ought to be wearing a powdered wig.

If you believe that marriage is exclusively the union of one man and one woman, you are a homophobe and a bigot.

If you think people should not be allowed to break into our country illegally, then get free education, health care and jobs and to march in our streets to protest the violation of their “rights,” you are a racist, a xenophobe, and your state should be boycotted.

Yesterday The Clarion Ledger, Jackson, Mississippi, paper published my guest op-ed “Spending the Way to Recovery Proves to be an Illusion.”  It discuss the economics of why stimulus will yield disappointing results at best.  Check it out if you get the chance.

- The Professor

There’s really no reason to take elections seriously.

I’m not talking about voters. We need to take them very seriously indeed.  A large portion of our lives has come under political control.  Voting the wrong way can cause the industry you work for to be bankrupted, or nationalized.  The damage caused by a poor choice of President in 2008 will take many years to undo.

I mean politicians don’t need to take election law seriously.  Vote fraud and other irregularities have become staples of our elections.  Like most crimes, they are perpetrated on a rational basis, by people who have measured risk against reward.  The risk of punishment for election tampering is minimal, while the rewards are huge.  There is virtually no chance a major race will be invalidated due to ballot or financial irregularities.  The winners of elections gain control over the very agencies that would investigate their campaigns.  Once victory is secured, the worst consequences awaiting dirty politicians are fines, which deep-pocketed contributors will be happy to help them repay.

Who Created TeaPartyConnect.com?

TeaPartyConnect.com was created by a member of a local Tea Party after discovering there was a serious lack of information regarding the leadership, management, promotion, and legal questions facing Tea Party groups.

TeaPartyConnect.com was created to work with other Tea Party Groups across the country to consolidate and present this important information in a credible way. The information presented was collected from various sources and represents the collective experiences of hundreds of individual Tea Party Members.
