Toots Sweet: We The People
Posted by: | Comments
The great USofA is under attack from a cancerous enemy from within that is far more dangerous then any threat from abroad. It is up to WE THE PEOPLE to shine the light on the Progressives that have infiltrated both parties to promote their Marxist, socialist, communist, fascist agenda. Capitalism, the belief in the individual, is the only system that promotes liberty, which is established thru a just & moral society via a limited responsible government.
A Different Christmas Poem
Posted by: | Comments
Merry Christmas to our heros where ever they are in this world and to all of their families who patiently await their safe return.
To the heros who have not returned safe and sound, we remember and honor your sacrifice and remain grateful and humbled.
We will never forget those who have given all to protect our pursuit of life, liberty and happiness. We are forever in your debt.
May God’s love shine down upon our guardians and may His angels keep and protect each of them just as our heros protect each of us.
Thank you and God Bless!
PS: Special thanks to HAL, the Marine Veteran who created the video and Michael Marks who wrote the poem. You’ve reminded us of the precious gift of freedom that has been given to each us by our volunteer soldiers and the price they pay to give it to us.

Open Thread: Time For A Musical Break…
Posted by: | CommentsI don’t know if this song has any direct bearing on the upcoming elections or not. I’ll let you decide that for yourself and you are welcome to fight it out in the comments.
What I can tell you is that I love this song and this re-cut video is awesome. Just take a few minutes away from the blogs and the media spin cycle and enjoy one of the coolest bands playing one of the coolest songs.

The Thrill That’ll Git Ya…

Dr. Hook & The Medicine Show just wanted their picture on the cover of The Rolling Stone.
Perhaps, that was not such a noble goal, but here’s a goal that is noble: TeaPartyConnect.com doesn’t want anyone to make the cover of TeaPartyTracker.org. In fact, I don’t even want anyone to visit TeaPartyTracker.org. So much so, that I’ve been debating whether to post a link to them.

Pink Floyd Protest Song Used As Protest Song
Posted by: | CommentsBlurred Vision is a Canadian band formed by two Iranian brothers and they received permission from Roger Waters to re-record “Another Brick In The Wall” as a song of protest against the Iranian Government. I’ve been a fan of Pink Floyd for many, many years and now I have one more reason to love their music. Now, if the Tea Party movement can get permission to use the song “Sheep”, I’ll be happy as a pig flying.
And because I couldn’t post the remake without posting the original:
Jimmy Buffett Just Broke My Heart…
Posted by: | Comments
I’ve been a Jimmy Buffett fan for thirty years. I’ve been to just one of his concerts, but it was one of the best nights of my life. I’ve bought his recordings in 8-track, cassette, LP, DVD and CD formats. For Christmas two years ago, my wife gave me a boxed set of Jimmy Buffett CD’s. I’ve read and enjoyed his books and I’ve eaten a “Cheeseburger in Paradise” at his restaurant.
I’ve dreamed of visiting “One Particular Harbor” and when I turned forty, I listened to “A Pirate Looks At Forty” every day for about three months straight. When I’ve been away from my wife on business trips, I’ve heard “Come Monday” playing in my head the whole time.
I don’t consider myself a “Parrot-Head” since I don’t dress the part nor do I follow Jimmy around the country on his tours. People in the South and particularly in Mississippi and Alabama have always felt like Jimmy was part of their own family. I graduated from the same college where Jimmy dropped out and took Fingers Taylor (one of the best harmonica players around) with him.
But today, I read a story that included a comment Jimmy made and if he really believes this, he broke my heart and I’ll never listen to another Jimmy Buffett song with the same love and affection that I’ve felt in the past. I knew Jimmy supported Obama and I looked past that. I knew that Jimmy supported Clinton and Gore and I kept listening. After all, it is still a free country (for now) and Jimmy certainly has a right to his opinion. But now his opinion is sitting squarely between him and my enjoyment of his music.
