As we are able to include more and more writers over time, we’ll be adding them to this page to provide some kudos to them and give you a way to learn more about them. A founding member of MeridianTeaParty.com, TheGuru has been working in the computer industry since 1986. As the owner of both a programming/consulting firm and a hardware sales and service company, he got his nickname from his clients who have been calling him “The Computer Guru” since 1991. TheGuru has been writing technical articles for newsletters and local newspapers for over 10 years. Always a political junkie, he has always felt that election night news coverage was better than the Super Bowl. Since June of 2009, he has been the webmaster and chief editor of MeridianTeaParty.com and is the founder of TeaPartyConnect.com.

Bonnie Blue Star

Bonnie is a 29 year old patriot born and raised in Northern Alabama and currently resides in Orange County California. Bonnie’s conservative roots began as a child when her father allowed her to watch Oliver North during the Iran-Contra hearings. Throughout those hearings, she became aware that North was the Patriot – not the Democrat Senators that tried to ruin him. Bonnie has a degree in Psychology and minor in Business. After working as a Financial Analyst for a multi-billion dollar medical manufacturer in Georgia, she is currently a Finance, Accounting and IT Recuriter in Orange County, CA. Her passion for Politics started at a young age and with each year grows stronger. Bonnie attempts to make her writings a passionate out cry of the everyday American! She doesn’t write to be politically correct, but to state an opinion she feels is lost within today’s society. Her blog is Middle Finger Politics and we are glad to welcome her contributions to TeaPartyConnect.com. In case you are wondering, her name comes from the original flag (The Bonnie Blue Flag) of the Republic of West Florida whose territory became the states of Lousiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida. She’s a good Southern Girl living on the Left Coast which kinda explains the name of her blog doesn’t it?

Doctor Zero

We are honored to welcome Doctor Zero on-board! Doc came to love Hot Air as his favorite blog site, and was delighted when Allahpundit – the very first blogger he followed – came on board.  There was an open comment registration shortly after that, and he was able to open an account.  While trying to think up a user name, his eyes fell on one of his prized possessions: a custom-painted action figure, made by an extremely creative friend, in the image of a very obscure comic-book character he followed during his college years.  That’s where “Doctor Zero” comes from.  If you’re curious, you can learn a little about the character here.  When Hot Air launched its Green Room for guest bloggers, he was invited to become one of the contributors, with the recommendation of many other commenters.  The pen name “Doctor Zero” sums up for him: the chance to begin each new post from zero, writing with a voice that carries no stature or authority, and let the words stand or fall on their own.

Jim Simpson

As first a graduate economics student then instructor in the 1980s, Jim became curious as to why so many falsehoods about public policy are widely accepted as fact despite overwhelming and longstanding evidence to the contrary. Subsequently he took a job with the White House budget office (OMB) and was stunned to see this ignorance thoroughly ingrained in the government establishment. Jim is a realist. He draws conclusions based on fact and logical inference alone. Imagine his surprise when he learned that in Washington, that made him a Radical Rightwing Nut and by extension, a likely member of the Vast Rightwing Conspiracy! Okay then, why pull punches? Jim believes this country’s vision has been blurred by almost a century of Leftist misinformation, which has been deliberately and systematically introduced into our schools, churches and factories as well as our political and judicial institutions. With the dangers we now face we can no longer afford the luxury of indulging the Left in its destructive, self-serving ambitions. They have damaged this country almost to the point of no return. It’s time to face facts.

TheProfessor

TheProfessor has long enjoyed the challenge of combining economic analysis with history and politics to create an analytical perspective on current events. He is a regular co-host on a local news/talk radio station. On the show he discusses political and economic topics of the day. Currently, he is completing a book on the long-term economic effects of Ronald Reagan’s Presidency. TheProfessors’s insight and analysis led to several shorter pieces he published on the Reagan legacy. In addition, he a full-time Professor of Economics and Business at several Jackson, Mississippi area colleges.

TheProfessor applied his economic analysis of critical business issues in a successful sixteen-year career within the telecommunications industry. Within the tumultuous and ever changing industry, He specialized in developing pricing strategies and tactics, which increased the profitability and competitiveness of several leading telecom firms. TheProfessor has shared his vast knowledge of pricing and deregulation issues through several published articles, professional meeting speaking engagements and testimony before Public Service Commissions.  He earned a B.A. in economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Ph.D. in economics from the University of South Carolina.
